What exactly is buddies and why set it up?
Buddies is a helpline for the school students who feel they need someone to
talk to. We have a regular meeting for one to one chats. We will be in Mr. Potters room every wednesday lunch (L29) you
can come whenever you want and just walk up to anyone with a badge on and you can talk to them privately in another room.
Whatever you say to us will be confidentual unless it is something really bad eg. you have been raped and we will then have
to tell a teacher like Mrs Larner or Mr davies but we shall tell you before we do.
There are other ways to contact us if you dont want to talk to us in a one
to one session. You can email the group and ask for a certain person to reply or to see who replies. Our group email is Buddiesols@hotmail.co.uk.
NOTICE THE .CO.UK!!!!! NOT COM!!!!!
:D
The point of buddies is if you need to speak about your problems. We do not
judge what you tell us and we do not tell any one else not even the other buddies. If you are being bullied, have any problems
or are just low in general, come have a chat and we'll try and help. We know that it can be hard to talk to a friend, teacher
or family or even a councellor so that is why we are here. So you have another place to go with your problems.
Buddies allows you to talk in a one to one session or in a group, it is totally
up to you.
Buddies also counts for students in primary schools that are movin or have
just moved up to OLS that find it hard to settle in.
